💫 Our Campaign
Our goal is to raise $6,000 through a family-led campaign that teaches children the joy of giving through their own passions.
These include:
• Hosting a Castle for a Cause charity chess event where members of the public can play matches with children, including Tjin’s son, Jake.
• Raising funds for the Singapore Red Cross Young Hearts Programme through participation and donations.
• Encouraging the public to donate gently used books and toys to be given out as prizes — combining play, sustainability, and purpose.
• Showing children that giving can be fun, personal, and impactful when led by their own interests.
At Tjin Lee & Family, giving starts young — where playtime meets purpose, and kindness becomes a lifelong habit.
🤍 Story of Giving
For Tjin Lee, her Story of Giving begins at home — with her two sons. As a mother and community builder, she believes in raising children who see generosity not as an obligation, but as an opportunity to share their light.
Through 60 Lights, One Future, Tjin and her family are leading a Castle for a Cause chess fundraiser — an event inspired by her youngest son Jake’s newfound love for chess. The public is invited to play matches with the kids, donate to the cause, and contribute pre-loved books and toys as part of a circular, sustainable act of giving.
For Tjin, this initiative isn’t just about raising funds — it’s about raising awareness, empathy, and a generation of young givers. As she shared, “I want to be the person I would have appreciated when I was growing up — and to inspire my children to give back.”
🌱 Story of Hope
Nabila, 11, is the fifth of seven children in a family where her father is the sole breadwinner. Gentle and observant, she often struggles to speak up for herself and express her thoughts, and without a conducive learning environment at home, she faces academic challenges. Since joining Young Hearts, Nabila has begun to build confidence in her studies and express herself more comfortably.
She enjoys activities and excursions that nurture her social and emotional growth, helping her form positive connections with peers. Curious and resilient, she dreams of becoming a police officer. Your support gives children like Nabila the guidance and encouragement to thrive.
