Happy Fish Swim School — Making Waves of Change
💫 Our Campaign
Our goal is to raise $6,000 through Making Waves of Change — a fun and festive campaign that turns splashes and smiles into acts of kindness.
These include:
• Hosting two charity events — a Christmas Pool Party and a Christmas Yacht Party.
• Bringing people together to celebrate, connect, and give back through joy-filled experiences.
• Donating proceeds to the Singapore Red Cross Young Hearts Programme, supporting children from public rental flats.
• Encouraging others to make waves of change by giving with heart.
At Happy Fish Swim School, fun meets purpose — every splash helps light up a child’s future.
💛 Story of Giving
For Tan Jian Yong, founder of Happy Fish Swim School, giving begins with saying “yes.” From dunk tanks at past Christmas markets to this year’s yacht and pool parties, he’s always ready to use his platform to do good.
As a father of three, Jian Yong believes every child deserves the same chance to dream and succeed. Through 60 Lights, One Future, he’s turning celebration into impact — helping raise funds for children’s education, nutrition, and mentorship.
His hope is simple: to inspire others to say “yes” to doing good, to explore new ways to give, and to spread joy wherever they go.
🌱 Story of Hope
Elyana Dawood, 11, lives in a rental flat with seven family members and helps to care for her five siblings daily. Although she often feels overwhlemed by having to balance various obligations and struggles both academically and socially, since joining Young Hearts in 2022, she has grown in confidence and self-esteem.
She is also learning to become more responsible and open to making friends at the centre where she has a safe space to relax after school, enjoy timely meals, and receives encouragement on important aspects such as time management and positive peer interaction. She aspires to be a teacher and hockey player but for now, she simply aspires to do well for her PSLE.
