💫 Our Campaign

Our goal is to raise $6,000 by giving every child a joyful start to the school year — reminding them that they are seen, supported, and cared for by their community.

These include:
• Launching the Back-to-School Box campaign, gifting each child a school starter pack that includes a backpack, lunchbox, and water bottle.
• Encouraging families and community members to purchase and sponsor these boxes for children under the Young Hearts Programme.
• Creating a supportive parenting network where families give back together.
• Inspiring a sense of belonging and hope among children as they begin a new chapter in their learning journey.

At Baby Central, giving is about more than gifts — it’s about building a community that helps every child step forward with confidence and joy.

For Tann Ling, a lawyer turned entrepreneur, who now leads Baby Central South East Asia, parenthood is not just about raising children — it’s about raising a caring community. This Christmas, they’re turning that belief into action through Back-to-School Boxes of Hope, an initiative supporting the Singapore Red Cross Young Hearts Programme.

Each box gifted helps a child begin school feeling ready, confident, and loved. For Baby Central, this campaign is a reminder that support comes in many forms — from a caring gesture to a simple school bag filled with possibilities.

🌱 Story of Hope

Kai, 12, is an active and cheerful boy with a passion for sports. He lives in a household of six including a stepfather and his step-siblings. Although he faces a neuro-developmental challenge, he does so with admirable courage and resilience, even in the midst of a busy household life and the pressures and anxiety surrounding his PSLE exams. He works hard, attends tuition classes regularly and is motivated to do well for his exams.

At Young Hearts, Kai enjoys a welcoming and inclusive space where he is able to freely take part in activities and build both his academic and social confidence with encouragement and support. With consistent guidance, he is slowly growing in self-assurance and learning to manage challenges even more positively. Kai aspires to be a badminton coach and continues to explore his interests and talents with enthusiasm.
