The Social Space — Kreta Ayer Gives Back
💫 Our Campaign
Our goal is to raise $6,000 through Kreta Ayer Gives Back — a festive neighbourhood campaign that unites local cafés, shops, and social enterprises to give back with heart.
These include:
• Bringing together over 25 local partners across Kreta Ayer for a two-day giving event on 6 & 7 December 2025.
• Inviting visitors to explore, collect stamps, and discover the community through a Neighbourhood Map Passport.
• Donating proceeds to 60 Lights, One Future, in support of the Singapore Red Cross Young Hearts Programme.
• Celebrating heritage, heart, and hope — lighting up both the streets and the lives of children in need.
This initiative embodies The Social Space’s mission to prove that kindness is contagious, and that every small act can contribute to something greater.
💛 Story of Giving
At The Social Space, founders Cheryl and Daniel believe that community is at the heart of everything they do. This Christmas, they’re bringing that spirit to life through Kreta Ayer Gives Back — a collective effort to celebrate local heritage while supporting children through the Singapore Red Cross.
By partnering with over 25 cafés, shops, and social enterprises, The Social Space is turning the festive season into a time of purpose. Each cup of coffee, handmade gift, and shared experience becomes a gesture of kindness — helping fund mentorship, enrichment, and nourishment for children from underprivileged families.
The message is simple yet powerful: when a community comes together, even the smallest actions can create lasting change.
🌱 Story of Hope
Axel, 7, lives with his mother in a rental flat. His mother is the sole breadwinner and Axel can often be found playing alone at the playground. Amid challenges pertaining to learning, socialising and communication, Axel remains an energetic and curious boy. At the centre, Axel has a safe space to relax and play after school.
With encouragement and guidance, Axel is also learning fundamental social and communication skills and is slowly growing in confidence and positive peer interactions. Axel aspires, very simply, to be a good person.
