Hirfan Romzi is a Singapore-based creative, community builder and the Founder of Aliwal Chess Club.
The street-chess movement is known for making chess more accessible, social and culturally relevant—bringing the game beyond traditional settings and into shared public spaces.
Hirfan also runs HikeForFan, a platform that brings outdoor enthusiasts together through shared experiences and open trips.
Across his work, he uses design, events and unconventional ideas to create spaces where people can connect and belong. At Christmas Together, Castle for a Cause invites visitors to sit down, make a move and meet someone across the board.
