Yummy Bakes is the brain child of my 7yo daughter who one day told me that she would like to open a bakery and sell the wonderful bakes that we make. As a supportive mother, I wanted to take this opportunity to teach her entrepreneurship skills and the importance of giving back. Hence we set up a home bakery. She thought of the name herself and we designed the logo together. She actually invested in $50 – borrowed from me, as a start up capital. We sell our bakes mainly to close friends and regularly donate part of the money we earn to charities as part of our sustainability efforts.
