Macramenian is a collection of meaningful stories; knots and wefts made by ropes, yarns, and ribbons. As there are no same stories in life, therefore it applies on the artworks too- each piece is unique and different. It speaks in textures, colors, and composition; to tell us the inspiration behind, although people would/might interpret differently. My initial aim when creating 'Macramenian' is to make art affordable to most people, without sacrificing the quality and the efforts from myself. The materials used for the artworks are mostly cotton, upcycled fabrics, and wood. I do collaborations with local makers and purchase the material from local sellers and/or other small businesses, to help cutting carbon emissions and air pollution and also to support the local economy and encourage social sustainability.
